Getting postcards for Postcrossing in Singapore!

The first time i got postcards for Postcrossing was at the Changi Airport. Cos it was the nearest place to my house that has a lot of tourists. Duhh, it's the airport. I bought postcards at $1 per piece! At that time, I don't even know how much was a piece of postcard and I assume that the price was reasonable. I bought 5 of it since my limit was 5 travelling postcards for newbies. Then I kept thinking to myself that I can't be possibly be spending that much for a postcard if I were to carry on for long.

Then I tried searching at Bugis Street since my school was nearby. I found a shop that sells for 60 cents per piece! I get to save 40 cents for every postcard I send. So keep getting postcards in Bugis Street from then on.

One day, I decided to roam around Chinatown to do some street photography. While I was walking along the street shops, I thought about the postcards that I could find here. And guess what, I did! $2 for 6 pieces. That's like 30 cents per piece! From $1 per piece at the airport to 30 cents per piece in Chinatown! I get get 3 of it there for the price of 1 at Changi Airport. But the problem is the journey there. That's why I will get $10 worth of postcards; a total of 30 pieces. So that I don't have to keep returning there. My limit for Postcrossing is 9 to be travelling at once.

The face of Chinatown. Surprisingly, it's beside a hindu temple.

Pagoda street,  the row of street shops that I was talking about.

The usual stuffs for tourists are available here, from fridge magnets to keychains and all.

This is the particular shop that sells the postcard.

Yeap, 6 for $2!

Will be sending this out soon!. And my girlfriend wants the orchid postcard. Haha

It's in between Hidden Treasures and Sri Mariamman Temple. You can use Hidden Treasures postal code, 058777, in Google or Apple maps for navigating here.

Well maybe when I reached about 20 limits for travelling postcards, I'll make my own postcards. By using one of my best photograph that I took in Singapore, I'll send to a shop to do a mass order cos it's much more cheaper, at less than 10 cents per piece. So that I don't have to keep buying postcards, instead, it's already available at home. The downside to it is that I'll be sending a similar postcard every single time.
